What happens in winter?

A solar water heating system relies on solar radiation to heat the water. Therefore as long as the sun is shining in winter, you will still have hot water. If the water does not heat up enough, the electric element will only have to heat a small amount therefore using less electricity and hence less money to heat up your water.
