Member Code of Conduct

FLat Plate Solar Collector All members of the SESSA Solar Water Heating Division are required to sign a Solar Water Heating Division Code of Conduct, the aims of which are to assist in co-operating, developing, instituting, maintaining and promoting a code of good conduct and practices for the division’s membership. Solar Water Heater business types falling under the division’s responsibility include importers, manufacturers, distributors, and installers. Non conformance will be a basis for cancellation of membership.

Use of SWHD Logo

Use of SESSA Solar Water Heating Division Logo:
  1. A company is only allowed to use the logo below if they are a fully paid up member of the SESSA SHWD for the current year
  2. The logo may not be used in association with any product
  3. The logo is not a product certification
  4. It may be used on letters, memos, e-mail and advertising to highlight the company's membership of the division

All members are listed in the online membership directory directory. Other benefits include invitations to courses, symposia, meetings and discussion groups. For attendance of these a members-only preference rate might be payable.

Depending on the type and category of membership a few other benefits may also be had such as reduced advertising rates in SESSA publications, referral of business enquiries and free product/service display opportunities.

All member of SESSA also become Associate members of ISES, with a small selection of membership benefits coming from them. Members who obtain full ISES membership will receive the following benefits from them: the Refocus Magazine (10 issues per year), the WIRE and ISES Newsletters by e-mail, access to the WIRE Modules on the ISES website, reduced fees at selected ISES conferences, reduced prices at the Online ISES Book shop and for ISES full conference proceedings and a membership card. New benefits are being developed and will be added later. The highly technical Solar Energy Journal can also be subscribed to at an additional cost.
